Been a Cheshire wife there is only one place to be seen this week and that of course is RHS Tatton park.
Our little garden is not the biggest or the best garden , we moved hear last October so we just saw the garden just creeping in the autumn. So this year has seen a baptism of fire in terms of the colours and what we have seen in our garden. I love our little garden but I do have grand designs and want so much more. Our garden is south facing so we have lots of light. But having a three year old its looking a bit like a plastic toy shop. With a plastic slide , house , car and a paddling pool poor H is not happy 🙁
We also have a rockery at the bottom of the garden with all sorts of random things and lots of weeds. *hangs head in shame*
Well as I said this week I was invited to the RHS Tatton park show. Its filled my head with so many ideas of what I want to grow and build in our garden.
I have dreams of a summer house like this from www.ornategarden.com but at £8,999 this is slightly out our price range.
I also have dreams of the good life and growing our own vegetables to become a bit more sustainable, but somehow I don’t think I will reach the amazing feasts of colours and textures the RHS has to offer – just look at the delights I found in the competition tent.
The RHS show is not only full of ideas and dreams for your average garden, however if you have grander designs you can go and view the award winning gardens which are just stunning.
The RHS show is a fantastic day out for all the family with lots to keep you and the family entertained, this year there was a very handy edition of a crèche which is free to use and is run by the wonderful staff at www.tinies.com/creches/
There is so much to do at the RHS tatton show from carnivals passing through the walkways to talks on how to plant seeds and look after them. There is plants to buy and shows to see, and then there is the children’s/ community gardens which were all just stunning. But this little beauty was by far my favourite
The event takes place on open parkland and dose have metal boards on the floor which gives good accessibility to pushchairs and wheelchairs, but do check the weather report before you leave as it can get muddy underfoot .
I do hope you enjoyed my take on the RHS TATTON SHOW
